It's an unforgettable journey for adventure seekers in the Everest region.

  • Day 1:

    Kathmandu, 1400 m

You will be picked up from the airport by a representative of Vertical Nepal team and taken to a comfortable hotel.

In the evening, we will gather for a welcome dinner.

  • Day 2:

    Kathmandu, 1400 m

We will show you the vibrant Kathmandu.

We will explore charming narrow streets, visit important monuments, browse shops filled with handicrafts, beautiful fabrics, or aromatic spices.

  • Day 3:

    Kathmandu - Lukla, 2840 m - Phakding, 2610 m, 8-9 h

Very early in the morning, we depart by private transport to Ramechap.

The road offers beautiful mountain landscapes and valleys with pastures, rivers, and rice fields. In Ramechap, we catch a flight to Lukla, the flight is short, only 20 minutes, but the views are spectacular.

In Lukla, we start our trekking adventure, and our today's goal is Phakding.

  • Day 4:

    Phakding - Namche Bazaar, 5-6 h, 3440 m

After rest and a delicious breakfast, we set off.

The route from Phakding to Namche Bazaar is another stage of the trek to Everest Base Camp. Starting from Phakding, we walk along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River, passing charming villages and crossing characteristic suspension bridges. As the terrain ascends, you will notice a change in the landscape.

Passing through dense pine and larch forests, we will reach the village of Monjo, where we will register our group in the Sagarmatha National Park.

Then, crossing steep ascents, we will cross Hillary Bridge, which will take you to the other side of the river.

Another ascent leads to Namche Bazaar, a picturesque town nestled on the mountainside. After about 11 km of trekking, we will reach our destination. We will stay overnight at a tea house run by local residents of the Khumbu Valley.

  • Day 5:

    Namche Bazaar, 3440 m

Acclimatization plays a crucial role in preparing for further trekking in the Everest region.

We will spend the day actively resting and gently walking around the area to allow the body to adjust to the reduced oxygen levels at higher altitudes. During acclimatization, we will visit the nearby Everest View Hotel viewpoint, where you will see Everest for the first time!

Additionally, a walk around Namche Bazaar will allow you to get acquainted with the culture and daily life of the local community.

The town also has souvenir shops, cafes, and restaurants, making the time spent here both practical and enjoyable. This form of acclimatization will minimize the risk of altitude sickness and better prepare for further trekking stages.

  • Day 6:

    Namche Bazaar - Tengboche, 5-6 h, 3850 m

After an energetic breakfast, we set off from Namche, traversing terrain at various altitudes, admiring Himalayan panoramas, passing through villages, and observing the life of the local population.

During the hike, we will pass through a viewpoint in Sanasa, and then descend to the village of Phunki Thanga, where we will cross the Dudh Koshi River. Further steep ascents will lead us to Tengboche, where one of the most important monasteries in the region is located.

We will visit its interior! This magical place offers beautiful panoramas, and the monastery is a place of prayer and contemplation.

Tengboche is also an excellent place for acclimatization and enjoying the views of the surrounding mountains.

We will rest at a tea house and stay overnight.

  • Day 7:

    Tengboche - Dingboche, 5-6 h, 4410 m

We start another day of trekking in the morning.

Leaving Tengboche, we descend through larch and pine forests, gaining altitude at the same time. The trail offers beautiful views of nearby mountain peaks, including the impressive Ama Dablam. The next stage is passing through the village of Debuche, and then continuing the trek towards the Imja Khola River.

Crossing it, we will climb steep slopes and reach Dingboche, located on an open plateau. Dingboche is one of the highest permanent settlements in the world, offering views of surrounding mountains such as Island Peak and Lhotse.

  • Day 8:

    Dingboche, 4410 m

We will stay in Dingboche today for acclimatization.

Acclimatization is a crucial stage during trekking. We will spend the day actively ascending local hills to gradually acclimate the body to reduced atmospheric pressure.

It's also an excellent opportunity to enjoy spectacular views of nearby mountain peaks. We'll return for lunch and spend the rest of the day resting.

  • Day 9:

    Dingboche - Chhukung, 3-4 h, 4730 m

After breakfast in Dingboche, we head towards Chhukung.

We have a short distance to cover, so we can afford a slow pace and frequent enjoyment of the views.

Along the way, we'll see several traditional farms and stone fences, and as we pass through the Imja Khola Valley, we'll see pastures where resting yaks graze.

  • Day 10:

    Chhukung - Kongma La, 5535 m - Lobuche, 4910 m, 8-9 h

Today, we'll spend about 8-9 hours on the trail to reach the summit of Kongma La Pass.

There are two trails leading to it; one from Chhukung over the moraines of the Nuptse Glacier, and the other to Bibre above the Niyang Khola.

Since there are no hotels, shops, or teahouses here, we'll bring our own food and water. At the summit of Kongma La Pass, we can see beautiful Buddhist prayer flags.

Turning north from the Khumbu Glacier, we reach Lobuche.

  • Day 11:

    Lobuche - EBC, 8-9 h, 5364 m

The trail from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (EBC) is an exciting stage of trekking, leading through the high Himalayan terrain.

Starting from Lobuche, we ascend the Khumbu Glacier and climb up the valley, passing majestic mountain walls. Then we'll reach Gorak Shep at 5190m, where we'll have lunch, leave our belongings, and continue our hike to Everest Base Camp. The trail leads through rocky and sandy areas until it reaches the base camp, usually after about 3-4 hours.

At Everest Base Camp, you'll experience a unique feeling standing in the shadow of the world's highest peak. The views of glaciers and mountain peaks are unforgettable.

Everest isn't visible from this spot, but we'll make up for it the next day. We return to Gorak Shep for the night.

  • Day 12:

    Gorak Shep - Kala Patthar, 2-3 h, 5545 m - Lobuche 5-6 h, 4910 m

Kala Patthar, reaching an altitude of about 5,545 meters, offers some of the most spectacular views of Everest and nearby peaks. We start very early.

The trail leads steeply uphill. Although the climb isn't too long, the terrain is demanding due to the altitude. After about 2.5 hours, we'll reach the summit of Kala Patthar, where you'll see the breathtaking sunrise over Everest, which is one of the most epic experiences in this part of the world.

Be prepared for a chilly morning, but the views from Kala Patthar are a reward worth every effort.

  • Day 13:

    Lobuche - Dzongla, 4-5 h, 4830 m

After breakfast, we continue our journey. We start with a descent, and after a few hours, we reach a fork and turn right towards Dzongla.

We trek uphill, passing by the nearby Chola Tsho Lake. We continue our hike, crossing the Chola Khola River, and arrive at Dzongla.

  • Day 14:

    Dzongla - Cho La Pass 5420 m - Gokyo 4800 m, 8-9 h

Today, a significant effort awaits us. We start very early, around 5 in the morning, to reach the other side of the pass before noon and thus avoid worsening weather conditions in the afternoon.

We'll pass through the Khara, Pangka, and Ngozumpa glaciers, which is the longest glacier in Nepal. We'll admire a beautiful view of Kantega and the mighty Cho-oyu mountain.

  • Day 15:

    Gokyo - Gokyo Ri 5483 - Gokyo 4800 m, 3-4 h

We set out early for Gokyo Ri to admire the magnificent views at sunrise.

For those who take on the challenge of the hike, there are many rewards – stunning views of the Super Gokyo Valley, the massive Ngozumpa Glacier, and an incredible panoramic view of the entire Khumbu Himalayas, including the giants Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu, and Gychung Kang.

  • Day 16:

    Gokyo - Renjo La - 5360 m - Lunden 4300 m, 7-8 h

It's going to be a long day, steadily and measuredly, we'll cover the kilometers of the trail.

From the summit of Renjo La Pass, you'll see a magnificent view of Everest. We end the hike in Lunden.

  • Day 17:

    Lunden - Thame, 4-5 h, 3800 m

After regeneration and an energizing breakfast, we set off to collect more unforgettable moments.

We descend towards our destination for today, the village of Thame, admiring the snow-capped majestic peaks. The main attraction of Thame is the ancient Buddhist monastery, which serves as a place of prayer and meditation for the local community and a pilgrimage site for Buddhists.

As an interesting fact, it should be noted that Thame is the hometown of Apa Sherpa, who reached the summit of Everest 21 times!

  • Day 18:

    Thame - Namche Bazar, 4-5 h, 3440 m

Today will pass very pleasantly with a gentle and short descent.

We'll have plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere of Namche Bazar.

  • Day 19:

    Namche Bazar - Lukla, 6-7 h, 2840 m

Our last day to enjoy the views of the Himalayas within reach, beautiful vegetation, the friendliness, and hospitality of the local community.

We'll end the day in Lukla.

  • Day 20:

    Lukla - Kathmandu, 1400 m

We set off early in the morning for the airport, from where we'll fly to Ramechap, excited once again by the view of the mountains from the airplane window.

Upon landing, we'll transfer to ground transportation to reach Kathmandu after a few hours of travel.

  • Day 21:

    Spare Day

We'll reserve this extra day in case of bad weather on the trail.

If conditions allow us to return on schedule, we'll use it to explore the surroundings of Kathmandu.

  • Day 22:

    Kathmandu, 1400 m

A last chance to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of Nepal.

We'll visit local boutiques, relax in the magical Garden of Dreams. In the evening, we'll gather for a farewell dinner to share our emotionally charged impressions of our shared Himalayan adventure one last time.

  • Day 23:

    Departure from Nepal

We'll take you to the airport from where you'll embark on your return journey.

    See you!
